David M. Williamson serves as the Executive Director of the Commission, having served in that capacity since November 9, 2015.
Prior to coming to the Commission, Mr. Williamson served as Superintendent for the Division of Industrial Compliance at the Ohio Department of Commerce, a position he held during both the Kasich and Taft administrations. Previously, he was Executive Director of the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology and spent 28 years in active duty in the United States Air Force, where he rose to the rank of Colonel.
Mr. Williamson earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Montana. He is a member of Rotary International where he has served as the Fundraising Chair, Master Sergeant-at-Arms, and Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee.
Director Williamson uses his extensive background and experience in government, public service, strategic planning, and professional service management to lead the Commission forward with the objective of meeting the facility needs of Ohio’s public schools, state supported colleges and universities, and state agencies now and in the future.
