Commission names Chief of Facility and Program Services

April 1, 2013 (COLUMBUS) Jeff Westhoven of Columbus has been named Chief of Facility and Program Services for the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC). Westhoven currently serves as a Deputy Director for the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS), overseeing the General Services Division.

The announcement was made by OFCC Executive Director Richard Hickman, who said, “'Jeff has a significant background in both government management and in facilities construction. He played an important role in the passage of construction reform in 2011 and in the 2012 establishment of this agency. We believe he is the perfect fit for this agency and this position."

Westhoven has served with DAS since 1994, holding the position of Chief Administrator for the office of Procurement Services, and Energy Coordinator for the Office of Energy Services. His duties at the OFCC will include administration of the communications, legislative, and energy services areas, along with development and integration of grants programs.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Notre Dame University and a Masters in Business Administration from Franklin University.


About OFCC

Established in 1997, the Commission is responsible for administration of the state’s school construction and renovation program. The Commission is currently working with, or has completed all necessary work in, nearly two-thirds of the state’s 613 school districts.

On September 10, 2012, the Commission was consolidated with the Office of the State Architect to form the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. The Ohio School Facilities Commission continues to exist as a separate commission within the new agency, focusing on funding Ohio’s comprehensive K-12 school construction program.
