|July 1, 2013 (COLUMBUS) The state operating budget bill (Am. Sub. HB 59) was signed into law by Governor John Kasich on Sunday, June 30, 2013.
One of the provisions contained in the bill moves the oversight responsibilities of the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission to the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) and transfers the duties of the Cultural Facilities Commission to the OFCC. The transfer takes effect on July 1, 2013.
This transfer continues the administration’s efforts to streamline state government and increase operational efficiencies, with the goal of using valuable state resources and funds in the best manner possible.
As we move forward with the details of the transfer and establish how the administration of these grants will be managed, it is our goal to make the transition as seamless as possible. We will share additional information with you as it becomes available. Please be aware that the transfer does not reduce or eliminate any current funding for cultural facilities projects in progress.
During this time of transition, if you have questions or need additional information related to a specific project or grant, please contact:
Jessica DeLong, Grants Administrator
