Hagemeyer recognized for workplace excellence

December 17, 2009 (COLUMBUS) Rhonda Hagemeyer is the 2009 recipient of the Anthony Tripodi Award of Excellence.

The award, named for former Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) Chief Fiscal Officer, Anthony Tripodi, is presented to the OSFC staff member who best exemplifies Tripodi’s dedication to public service and his commitment to Ohio’s school children.

“Each year, the Tripodi award winner is nominated and selected by the OSFC staff,” said OSFC Executive Director Richard C. Murray. “Rhonda’s selection is in recognition of her professionalism on the job and her concern for the future of school children throughout the state. The award takes on special significance because it comes from her peers – the people who work with her on a daily basis and know how important her contribution is.”

Hagemeyer has served as a Project Administrator for the Commission since 2000. In her position, she oversees construction management functions for a number of school districts, including the $1.3 billion project currently ongoing in the Columbus Public school district. During her tenure with the Commission she has overseen projects in 25 Ohio school districts.

Hagemeyer holds a Batchelors. degree in Environmental Health from Indiana State University and is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist. In addition, she is currently seeking her certification from the Management Advancement in Public Service program from the Ohio State University. Hagemeyer is a resident of Columbus.

About OFCC

Established in 1997, the Commission is responsible for administration of the state’s school construction and renovation program. The Commission is currently working with, or has completed all necessary work in, nearly two-thirds of the state’s 613 school districts.

On September 10, 2012, the Commission was consolidated with the Office of the State Architect to form the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. The Ohio School Facilities Commission continues to exist as a separate commission within the new agency, focusing on funding Ohio’s comprehensive K-12 school construction program.
