Commission Announces Lead Fixture Grant Program

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) today began notifying administrators at school buildings across the state that they may be eligible for assistance with the replacement of lead plumbing fixtures.The Lead Plumbing Fixture Replacement Assistance Grant Program provides $12,000,000 in funding to eligible schools to reimburse for the sampling, assessment, and replacement of drinking fountains, water coolers, plumbing fixtures, and limited connected piping. FY2017 School Facilities Eligibility Ranking Lists Available

The Fiscal Year 2017 School Facilities Eligibility Ranking Lists are now posted on the OFCC eligibility ranking web page. The rankings, developed yearly by the Ohio Department of Education, determine funding priority and percentage of state funding for OFCC-funded facilities projects.

Commission Awards Community School Facility Grants

August 18, 2016 (Columbus) – Eight community schools across the state have been conditionally approved for $17,010,826 in grant funding for the purchase, construction, or renovation of school facilities. The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC), which administers the program, announced the awards today. Commission Employee Honored

August 11, 2016 (Columbus) – An employee of the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) has been honored for her contributions to educational facility design by a national group.Melanie Drerup, K-12 Planning Manager for the OFCC has been named a Fellow of the Association for Learning Environments (formerly the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International, CEFPI).
